Our ABA Therapy Focus

Communication Skills

We work with your child to develop productive methods of communication whether it be verbal or non verbal. Our goal is to help your child develop positive communication skills that will be used throughout their lives.

Daily Living Skills

There are numerous benefits to helping your child learn daily-living skills. Not only will they gain confidence, but they’ll also be able to better integrate into their community. Our therapists help your child become more independent by working on skills such as hand-washing, tooth-brushing, toileting and more.

Social Skills

We help your child learn how to interact with their peers by taking turns, sharing and working towards a common goal.

Behavior Management

Sometimes behaviors are disruptive, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate. Our BCBAs create treatment plans that aim to reduce unfavorable behaviors and increase desired behaviors through positive reinforcement techniques.

Connec-to-Talk FAQ

What is Applied Behavior Analysis?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a type of therapy that focuses on improving specific behaviors, such as social skills, communication, and reading, as well as adaptive learning skills, such as fine motor dexterity and hygiene. ABA is commonly practiced as a therapeutic intervention for individuals with autism. According to the Center for Autism, ABA helps the autistic client improve social interactions, learn new skills, and maintain positive behaviors. ABA also helps transfer skills and behavior from one situation to another, controlling situations where negative behaviors arise and minimizing negative behaviors.

Do you provide in-home ABA Therapy?

Our trained therapists are available to work with your child in their home to reinforce skills learned during therapy sessions as part of everyday living. They can also provide personal assistance with problematic behavior during daily living activities at home (e.g. toilet training, getting dressed, brushing teeth, riding appropriately in the car, etc.)

Are ABA services covered by health insurance?

Connec-to-Talk is an in-network ABA provider for most commercial insurance providers as well as Connecticut and Maryland’s Medicaid. Before beginning services with Connec-to-Talk, our billing team will check your benefits and obtain pre-authorization for our services.
